Additionally, he has presented a new series focusing on the dunes of Outer Cape Cod. The paintings capture the ever changing moods and beauty of the shifting sands of Cape Cod, highlighting seasonal variations, native vegetation and the incorporation of architecture in the environment.
K E N N E T H H A W K E Y - CAPE COD NATIONAL SEASHORE
Kenneth Hawkey has been painting scenes of the Cape Cod National Seashore since the late 1980s. The National Park Service at the Cape Cod National Seashore, under the direction of Larkin Gallery, hosted an exhibit of his work.
With the Cape Cod National Seashore in his back yard, Hawkey is continually amazed and inspired by the spectacular reflective light, he sky, the flora and fauna, the dunes and the conservation efforts as he continues to paint these scenes found in his everyday life.
